Welcome
to the Sheil Catholic Chicago Campus!
WELCOME TO THE SHEIL CATHOLIC CENTER
CHICAGO CAMPUS of NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY
Whether
you are new to Chicago campus, or have been a student or faculty
member for a few years, we hope that this Web site will provide
you with helpful information regarding the many activities
we offer.
The
Sheil Catholic Center maintains an active presence on the
Chicago Campus for the students, faculty and staff at
the Feinberg School of Medicine,
Northwestern School of Law,
the Department of Physical Therapy
and the School of Continuing Studies.
Through this presence we hope to provide a vehicle to clarify
values in a time of intellectual exploration and professional
development and develop a healthy sense of Catholic identity
and community.
Every
group or event listed on our Web site is an opportunity to
get involved in the Sheil community and to share in our mission.
We invite all - students, faculty, associates, parents, alumni
and friends - to share in this unique and wonderful opportunity
to be Church.
Mass
and other prayer opportunities, lectures, discussions, service
projects and social gatherings are offered to help Catholics
on campus identify and deepen their faith. Interaction with
those of other faiths and interested members of the university
community also assist growth in faith.
Fr
Bob Cary, the fulltime chaplain on campus is available to
assist with religious and spiritual matters or just talk.
His office is located in Room 702 of Abbott Hall.
We
Hope to See You Soon at one of our events!
Fr Bob Cary, CSP
