Sheil
School of Religion (CCD)
WELCOME!
As we begin another
school year, we look forward to seeing you and your children
at Sheil. Your presence helps make Sheil a unique community
and gives our students a chance to be an example of faith
to another generation. We will have one single enrollment
period prior to the Fall start of classes.
We
provide a school of religion with sacramental preparation
for children kindegarden through eighth grade. School begins
in October and ends in May. Children in second grade prepare
for First Communion, the fourth grade class celebrates their
First Reconciliation, and the eighth graders prepare for Confirmation.
Please
be aware of our updated policy and procedures:
1.
Sheil School of Religion is open for registration to the following:
A.
Northwestern Students, faculty and Affiliates at any time
B.
Sheil Associate Families who registered as members of Sheil
BEFORE October 1 ,2003.
2.
Due to the number of children in the program, Sheil School
of Religion is currently closed to non-university affiliated
families who are new to Sheil or did not register as members
of Sheil BEFORE October 1, 2006.
You must sign
up and pay tuition before the start of classes. In this way
our student teachers will be able to have a working class
list at the beginning of class.
Please be reminded
that you must be a registered member of Sheil BEFORE October
1, 2006 to enroll your child in classes. If your family is
not registered with Sheil, please contact the Sheil office
to register. We will be checking registration prior to enrolling
your child in the program.
