Alternative Spring Break – March 18 - 25, 2006
The Service Trip to New Orleans was such a success and the Gulf Coast is still in need of many clean-up volunteers, therefore, this year’s Alternative Spring Break will be to return to New Orleans to continue those recovery efforts.
The cost is $200, which includes: airfare, food & lodging. Registration forms for the trip will be available this Sunday, January 8 in the commons. We will begin accepting completed Registration forms along with a deposit of $100, Monday, January 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
There are a limited number of spaces, so applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Contact Tim Higgins at t-higgins3@northwestern.edu for more information.

Associate Habitat for Humanity Trip – May 13 - 20, 2006
For the past two years, a group of associates from Sheil have ventured to Tutwiler, MS to build houses for Habitat for Humanity. Tutwiler is located in the Mississippi delta region about 90 miles south of Memphis, TN. There is a constant need for houses in this area as the people in this region struggle with a poor education system and a lack of economic opportunities. All of the Sheil associates who have participated in the trip have returned exhausted but have learned more about this part of the country, more about their spirituality, and more about how to build a house.

This year the associate's trip will be May 13 through May 20, 2006. There will be an informational meeting in January or early February to discuss the details of the trip. The approximate cost of the trip will be $350 per person. If you have any questions about the trip, please feel free to contact Mike or Nicole Perry via email (mfp884@yahoo.com, n_sleiter@yahoo.com) or via phone (847)673-0121.
