Welcome to the Sheil Catholic Center!
College is full of experiences — some exciting, some difficult — and both faith in God and a supportive faith community can positively affect your four years at Northwestern University.
As the Catholic Campus Ministry at campus, the Sheil Catholic Center often acts as a "home away from home" for students. We offer a warm, welcoming environment for prayer and faith, as well as a dynamic community of both students and associates that relishes sharing discussion, energy and prayer with one another.
Our Center is here for you — and we offer countless opportunities for you to engage with your faith in the way that’s most meaningful to you:
- Pray. Visit the Chapel, open daily, for personal prayer and meditation.
- Worship. Gather with us for Mass, spiritual exploration and retreats.
- Study. Use the Center as a study lounge and gathering space.
- Join. Become a part of Catholic Undergrads, Steering Council or a Liturgical Minister.
- Help. Engage with our community for service trips and other ministry activities.
- Learn. Investigate Catholicism through our new Christ the Teacher Institute, Catholic Scholars Program, Sheil Seminars, Talks & Presentations
- Discuss. Connect with our staff for pastoral counseling and spiritual direction — or learn more about a future career with the mentoring program.
